Yesterday I had the opportunity to view some amazing international 3d and 2d animation.<\/p>\n
The event was held\u00a0in the Industrial Light and Magic<\/strong> (ILM)<\/strong> theater at the Presidio in San Francisco, California, it\u00a0was very entertaining, well worth the\u00a0one-hour\u00a0commute to the location.<\/p>\n This even was made possible thanks to the International Animation Association, San Francisco chapter ASIFA SF<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Animation World Network<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0the short animations were selected and presented by Ron Diamond.<\/p>\n Please click here<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to find out how to become a member of ASIFA SF<\/strong>, some of the events like the one mentioned above are only open to current members, one of the many benefits of joining.<\/p>\n I absolutely loved\u00a0La Maison en Petits Cubes<\/a>\u00a0which was directed by Kunio Kato, it was an unique and refreshing way to share with the viewer life memories and the passage of time.<\/p>\n The other two that caught my attention were Skhizein<\/a>\u00a0directed by J\u00e9r\u00e9my Clapin, very clever way of explaining the problems and dangers a 150 ton meteorite can cause when one is\u00a0struck by it,\u00a0and Kudan<\/a>\u00a0directed by Taku Kimura (Trailer<\/a>).<\/p>\n We also had the opportunity to see Glago’s Guest<\/a>\u00a0directed by Chris Williams and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios (I saw John Lasseter name in the credits) as well as Presto<\/a>\u00a0by Doug Sweetland \/ Pixar.<\/p>\n I liked the other animations as well, but the ones mentioned above were my favorites.<\/p>\n If you have a chance see if you can get the opportunity to view them, they were all great in their own right.<\/p>\n Keith Reynolds Can’t Make it Tonight <\/strong>by Felix Massie Thank you Ron Diamond, ASIFA SF and ILM for this event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Yesterday I had the opportunity to view some amazing international 3d and 2d animation.
